Where rehab ends,
performance begins.
That was the gap we saw in 2010. It's the reason Performance EDU exists.
The gap no one was filling.
In 2010, we saw a problem no one was solving. Clients were graduating from physical therapy with clearance to move — but nowhere to go. Big-box gyms weren't built for bodies coming out of injury or surgery. Most personal trainers weren't trained to handle load, progression, or recovery for post-rehab clients. People were stuck in the middle, unsure how to rebuild.
Performance EDU was founded to be that missing link — a facility where people coming out of rehab, surgery, or long layoffs could train under coaches who actually understood what their bodies needed. Not just harder workouts. Smarter ones.
What started as a bridge quickly became a home — for athletes, active adults, and anyone serious about training with purpose.
EDU isn't just branding.
Three words have guided us from day one. They're the reason our clients don't just train — they understand why they're training.
Educate
Clients leave every session knowing more about their body than they did when they walked in. Training sticks when you understand the why.
Empower
Confidence is built rep by rep. We coach people to own their progress — so training becomes something they run, not something that's done to them.
Elevate
Every person who walks through our doors leaves better than they came in. Stronger bodies. Sharper minds. Higher standards.
Fifteen years in the making.
Founded
Performance EDU opens its doors in Reno with a clear mission: bridge the gap between physical therapy and high-level performance training.
Establishing the model
Word spread through the medical community. Physical therapists began referring clients directly, and the post-rehab-to-performance pipeline became our signature — something no other facility in the region offered.
Expanding what training can be
Programs evolved to serve athletes, semi-private groups, and full-facility members. The coaching standard stayed the same — science-based, individualized, and built for the long game.
Reno's premier performance facility
Four service models. One standard of coaching. A growing community of athletes, recovering adults, and everyday people who refuse to settle for generic training.
Marc Digesti.
Marc built Performance EDU on a simple belief: that training should be earned through education, not prescribed through guesswork. As founder and head coach, he's spent more than a decade shaping the facility's standard — one where coaches teach, clients understand, and every program is written for the person in front of you.
His philosophy is built around lifelong performance: training not for this week's PR, but for the next thirty years of hiking, skiing, lifting, and living well. It's the standard every coach on the Performance EDU team carries into every session.

the mission hasn't changed.
