Performance EDU Fitness in south Reno trains youth, high school, and collegiate athletes across football, baseball and softball, soccer, lacrosse, basketball, hockey, skiing, snowboarding, and more.

Athletes can join AthleteEDU, our coached strength and conditioning group that meets Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 4 PM for $35 per session, or train 1-on-1. Every athlete starts with a movement evaluation and baseline testing so the program fits their body and their season. We train athletes from age 9 and up.

Who coaches them

Coaches who have been there.

Founder Marc Digesti started his career at Athletes Performance (now EXOS), was head strength coach for the U.S. Disabled Ski Team, and played college baseball. Head Performance Coach Glenn Wallin also coaches track and field at local high schools. Our staff includes former Division 1 and professional baseball players and multi-sport athletes who work with youth athletes every week. Our coaches hold the Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) credential.

What age can my child start training at Performance EDU?

Athletes can start at 9 years old. Every young athlete begins with a movement evaluation, and programs for younger athletes focus on fundamentals, technique, and body control first.

What is sports performance training?

Sports performance training is strength and conditioning built around the demands of a specific sport: power, speed, agility, and the durability to stay healthy through a season. At Performance EDU it starts with an evaluation and baseline testing, then a program built for the athlete's sport, position, and season, with re-testing to measure progress.

Is strength training safe for high school athletes?

Coached, age-appropriate strength training that prioritizes technique and progresses gradually is a normal part of preparing young athletes for sport. Every athlete at Performance EDU starts with an evaluation, and loads are progressed based on what they can control.

What sports do you train?

Football, baseball and softball, soccer, lacrosse, basketball, hockey, skiing and snowboarding, and every other sport. Programs are built around the athlete's sport and position.

When does AthleteEDU meet?

Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 4 PM. Packs are $140 for 4 sessions, $280 for 8, or $420 for 12, which is $35 per session.

Can a whole team train together?

My athlete is coming back from an injury. Can you help?

Yes. Return-to-sport is part of our Bridging the Gap program, and Kime Performance Physical Therapy is in the same building for athletes who still need clinical care.
